About me

Hi, I'm Carli.
I've been teaching for 25 years, and I still love it. If I had to sum up what I've learnt in that time, it's this: learners usually don't struggle with the work itself. They struggle with the way it's explained to them.
I have ADHD and I'm a visual learner, so I know that feeling well. That's why I make my resources the way I do. I take a difficult concept, cut it into small pieces, and lay it out so you can see how it all fits together. I've made more than 2,000 designs in Canva, and most of them started with the same question: how would I want this explained to me?
I'm curious about almost everything: languages, psychology, design, maths, and lately AI and EdTech, which help me make better resources faster. I'm honestly a bit obsessed with learning, and with helping other people learn how to learn. You'll see more of that here soon.
ADHD hasn't always made life easy. But it has given me a lot of empathy for learners who don't fit the mould, and it's probably why I keep looking for a different way to explain something.
When I'm not making resources, I'm making art, playing chess or reading up on the newest AI tools. Yes, I'm a real nerd.
